Jersey City, N.J. –Drexel women's tennis earned a 6-1 victory over non-conference opponent St. Peter's. The Peahens got their only victory at No. 1 singles as the Dragons swept doubles play and took five of six singles matches.

Drexel's Mellissa Lewis (Lake Geneva, Wis./Big Foot) won a three-set match over Angela Wiggs at No. 2 singles. The third set was decided in a tiebreaker which Lewis won, 7-2. Jaimee Wylie (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) defeated Kristy Bonner at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-4. At No. 4 singles Hana Stecova won a second set tiebreaker to defeat Meredith Earley in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (2). Jillian Toussaint (Palmerton, Pa./Palmerton Area) lost just three games in earning a victory at No. 5 singles.

The Dragons return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 25 for a match against Lehigh. The first match will begin at 10 a.m.
